IndusInd Bank Nexxt Credit Card- Convenience spending or splurging?

Most of us use credit cards for shopping and paying bills. Many banks offer reward points and EMI schemes to lure customers. The IndusInd Bank is offering India’s first interactive next-gen credit card with LED lights and buttons!

The IndusInd Bank Nexxt Credit Card gives you 3 options while using your Nexxt Credit card. You can push any of the following 3 buttons depending upon your choice:

  1. Convert your purchase into an EMI( 6,12,18 or 24 months).
  2. Purchase using reward points.
  3. Plain credit card transaction.

You can select the EMI option on a purchase of Rs 2000 and above. You can convert it into 6,12,18 or 24 months EMI. There is no EMI processing fee and the rate of interest is 12% per annum.

If you want to pay using reward points, you need to have at least 500 reward points. For every Rs 150 spent you get 1 reward point. You need to spend at least Rs 75,000 in order to accumulate 500 points. If you redeem some points then you need to spend and earn points to bring the total back to 500 before you can use them for making another purchase. You don’t need to go through any catalog or apply separately to redeem your reward points.

If these options don’t suit you then the 3rd option acts like your regular credit card transaction.

The IndusInd Bank Nexxt Credit Card targets millennials who use credit cards frequently. Even though the IndusInd Bank Nexxt Credit Card offers convenience, the downside is that you might end up splurging. Click here to know more about the IndusInd Bank Nexxt Credit Card.
