Instagram’s New look and Feel

Instagram, the photo sharing app owned by Facebook, unveiled a new logo and simpler design for its iOS and Android app.

Its new icon represents a simpler camera, with the rainbow living on in gradient form, is what company has to say. The company also reckons that the refreshed colourful icons represent its diverse community.

Not only did Instagram get a new refreshed icon, all other apps from Instagram — Layout, Boomerang, and Hyper-lapse —also got a makeover.

The “flatter” UI of the app makes it simpler to use and puts more focus on videos and photos. Navigation has also become easier with the basic black and white colour scheme of the UI.

Instagram is ready with an update for the redesigned UI and logo for its Android and iOS clients

Instagram ends its update post with a message to its users: “Thank you for giving this community its life and colour”.

Just as changes are not happily welcomed by all, that’s how Instagram’s new icon and UI are getting mixed feedbacks.
