iPhone X: Meet Apple’s Latest High-End Model

In a splashy launch event, Apple has announced its high-end model, iPhone X, pronounced iPhone 10 and is widely considered to be the final product designed by Steve Jobs, who passed away in the year 2011.

iPhone X is considered as a premium smartphone costing with an eye-watering $999 showcasing the latest technology, embracing an edge-to-edge OLED display, wireless charging, and the first iPhone to feature facial recognition technology! Amazing!

The iPhone X is the first Apple product to feature a bezel-less design. It comes with 5.8-inch display and is powered by the A11 Bionic chip.

For all the Apple fans out there (including me) let’s catch up with some of the best features of the super-hit iPhone X:

Meet the iPhone X… I’m pretty much excited!

Design

Well, as far as the design is concerned, the iPhone X offers an all-screen display that correctly follows the curve of the device. The smartphone is available in Silver and Space Grey colors. There is a surgical-grade stainless steel band that holds the glass body and strengthens the device. The iPhone X is water and dust resistance.

Display

The latest iPhone X comes with a 5.8-inch Super Retina OLED display reportedly made by Samsung. It is the very first time Apple has used OLED tech in an iPhone, and it offers some huge advantages too! The HDR display backs the Dolby Vision and HDR10 which collectively make photo and video content look good. Apple has also integrated its TrueTone Technology for white-balancing the screen in various conditions to make everything look better. The iOS 11 is redesigned to take full advantages of the Super Retina display and substitutes the Home Button simple swipe gestures. Thus, permits the users to naturally navigate on the iPhone X by just swiping up from the bottom to go home from anywhere. Isn’t that cool?

Hold on… As there is no room for the home button on the front, few of the features are given to the power button, which Apple apparently calls the “side button.”  Long press the side button to activate “SIRI” and Double click for Apple Pay.

Facial Recognition

The new Face ID is the most important new feature of the iPhone X. on the security front, this Face ID facial recognition is used to unlock the device. This technique is achieved by using a new TrueDepth camera system made up of a dot projector, an infrared camera and flood illuminator powered by A11 Bionic to precisely map and recognize the face of the user.

Initially, while going through a short setup, the face version of registering your thumbprint, you will peer into the front-facing camera. Hold your face, turn left and right so that iPhone sensors can get a good look at you.

How Face ID, Facial Recognition works in iPhone X?

The Face ID projects more than 30,000 invisible IR dots, the image and the dot pattern are pushed through neural networks to build a mathematical model of your face. It then sends the data to the secure zone to confirm a match. Apple says it has done comprehensive work to make sure the masks and photos do not fool the app. Apple described Face ID as more secure, fast and convenient than a fingerprint.

Technology seems to be advancing in every way, and yes, the tech giants are making good use of it. Cheers!

Camera

Here comes the most standout feature of iPhone, Yes the Camera! With the series of upgrades rolling out, you will be able to capture slow-motion film in higher definition. With the help of new Portrait Lightning Mode, users will able to modify the flash on the back of the iPhone to get that perfect image!

The iPhone X also features a redesigned dual 12-megapixel rear camera with dual image stabilization. The improved camera and the improved Apple designed image processor delivers advanced pixel processing, great color capture and faster autofocus in low light. The latest quad LED True Tone Flash allows twice uniformity of light making the camera work superior.

Augmented Reality

Augmented reality is another one of the most touted features of the iPhone. The cameras on iPhone X are custom tuned for the excellent AR experience. With the ARKit, the iOS developers can take advantage of the TrueDepth camera while the rear cameras will take care of games and apps for the fantastic and fluid experiences that go far beyond imagination!

Qi Wireless Charging

Now, you don’t have to search for plugs to charge your cell phone! Yes, Apple iPhone X comes with a wireless charging feature. The glass back design allows wireless charging on the iPhone X, and the charging mats are available at the Apple Authorized Resellers.

AirPower: A cool way to charge Apple devices

AirPower is an Apple-designed wireless charging accessory which will be hitting the stores in 2018. It offers an active charging area that allows the Apple devices to get charged simultaneously.

With all these cool, latest and trendy features, what do you think? Will the device be cheap as compared to iPhone 7? Buddy, iPhone X won’t come cheap. Apple will release two versions, a 64GB for eye watering price of $999 and the more expensive 256GB version for $1149 introducing in the era of $1000 smartphone. The pre-orders start on October 27 and will be released on November 3.
