The iPhone XR is a big screen phone with a Liquid Retina HD display of 6.1 inches. The XR sports a 1792 x 828-pixel resolution at 326 PPI. You get a True Tone edge to edge LCD display without the physical home button. The XR has an aluminum body instead of the stainless body that we see on XS and XS Max. The XR is water and dust resistant with an IP67 rating and can survive less than one meter of water for up to thirty minutes. The iPhone XR is available in three storage variants namely: 64 GB, 128 GB, 256 GB. It is interesting to note that the iPhone XR will be available in a wide variety of colors – Red, Yellow, White, Coral, Black, and Blue.

The XR comes with a single 12 MP wide-angle camera and a 7 MP front TrueDepth camera that is used for FaceID. The improved sensors give better quality images in low light conditions. You can record 4k videos and also avail optical image stabilization. If you need better quality images you can go with XS Max that offers dual cameras.

The iPhone XR comes with the Apple’s latest A12 Bionic chipset which is touted to be powerful than the Snapdragon processor. The XR will run on the latest iOS 12. According to Apple’s official battery estimates, the XR performs better than the XS and XS Max. The XR offers a talk time up to 25 hours and there is support for wireless charging too.

You will have to wait till October 19th to pre-order your iPhone XR as it will be released on October 26. The expected price of the iPhone XR in India is Rs. 76,900. With the expensive iPhone XS and XS Max available this month, I think its worth to wait before buying a new smartphone this year, isn’t it?
